A few years ago, I began recording demos of the songs I’ve written since my most recent release in 2011.
I was reflecting on the many things we all face in today’s world, from financial challenges to understanding my place in it all. I wrote some slow, sad songs and a few toe-tapping, bluesy tunes. One song is propelled by the images of destructive wildfires here in California, while others express an ideal of how we can approach a simple acceptance of ‘what is’ in each of our lives.
Along the way, I began recording a fully produced studio album, doing sessions in several top studios. A stellar group of musicians contributed performances, including guitarist James Nash (The Waybacks), who also took on engineering, mixing and producing roles on this project.
I’m eager for you to hear the work we’ve done. The album is now in the mixing phase and you’ll be hearing more soon. I’ll be posting stories on the creation of the album and on the inspirations behind the songs.
Let me know below if you can help and know I appreciate anything you can do.
Please stay involved. I’m counting on you to help spread the word as we get closer to the release date, later this year.
